The conference aims to bring into conversation scholars working in many disciplines, such as musicology, ethnomusicology, human-AI interaction, sound studies, science, music computing and technology studies, philosophy, ethics, economics, feminist and posthumanist studies, to help define and develop, or even challenge the need for, a discipline of AI music studies. The three-day conference will feature presentations, panels, workshops, a keynote address by Dr Caterina Moruzzi, and a concert.

We are seeking submissions of proposals for presentations, panels and workshops for the conference. Each presentation will be given 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes discussion. Each panel will last at least 60 minutes with audience discussion. A workshop can consist of two hours of directed work and discussion around a specific topic. Proposals should be no more than 1000 words and describe what is to be presented and its relevance to the conference.

Topics of interest might include (but are not limited to):

* Intersections and tensions between different approaches to human-AI musical collaboration that bring out a discussion of human agency and intentionality.

* Co-creativity and agency in musicking: exploring AI as a collaborative medium.

* Discussion of AI in relation to emotional intelligence, embodied experience, contextual judgement, and lived history.

* Discussion of epistemic agency, exploring the extent to which users maintain critical, interpretive oversight when using machine learning workflows.

* The ethics of Human-AI collaboration when musicking: challenges and opportunities.
