Through the Prism of Chopin: The Cultural Life of the Piano (1927–2027)

On behalf of the Research and Publishing Department of the Fryderyk Chopin Institute and the academic committee, we are honored to invite you to participate in the International Musicological Conference “Through the Prism of Chopin: The Cultural Life of the Piano (1927–2027)”, organized to mark the 100th anniversary of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition. The conference will take place in Warsaw on 18–20 October 2027.
Proposed thematic areas include:
1. piano performance and pedagogy,
2. the piano – its development, history, and preservation,
3. the Chopin Competition and its reception.
Applications should be submitted by 31 January 2027. Presentations should not exceed 20 minutes. The conference will be held in person only; remote participation will not be available.
